Who Is This Cat Neuter Clinic For?
This clinic is intended for outdoor or indoor male cats that are healthy and intact. Each cat will receive a pre-operative examination before surgery, including confirmation that the cat is male and has two descended testicles.
Cats with only one descended testicle cannot be neutered through this clinic. Cats should also be free from known illness, injury, coughing, sneezing, vomiting, diarrhea, or other unusual symptoms at the time of the procedure.
Cats must be at least 8 weeks old or weigh at least 2 pounds, although cats 6 months of age or older are preferred. If you are unsure whether your cat qualifies, contact our team at (802) 989-3734 before registering.
What Is Included in the $75 Cat Neuter Fee?
The standard clinic fee includes the care associated with your cat’s neuter procedure, including:
- Pre-operative examination and sex confirmation
- Sedation and anesthesia monitoring
- Bilateral castration/neuter surgery
- Recovery monitoring
- Sedation reversal when appropriate
- Injectable Onsior
While preregistering, owners will also complete a treatment authorization form and select their preferences regarding CPR before the procedure.
Optional Services Available During the Clinic
Additional services can also be requested during registration, including vaccinations, microchipping, feline testing, additional pain medication, and parasite prevention. These services are added to your invoice and paid at drop-off.
